Ambassador of Grenada to the United States of America and
Permanent Representative to the Organization of American States
(OAS)

In July
1995, His Excellency Denis Godwin Antoine was appointed to his current
post as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Grenada
to the United States of America, and Ambassador/Permanent Representative
to the Organization of American States (OAS). He also serves concurrently
as Grenada's Non-resident Ambassador to Panama and Mexico.

Antoine is currently:
- A member of the Board of Directors of the Inter-American
Agency for Cooperation and Development (IACD)Chair of the Board of Directors for the Young Americas Business
Trust (YABT)Dean of the Corps of Ambassadors of the Western Hemisphere
- Grenada's Head of Delegation for the Summit Implementation
Review Group (SIRG) meetings.
Ambassador
Antoine:
- Served as Chairman of the Permanent Council of the OAS -
2002
- Represented Grenada as Head of Delegation at OAS General
Assemblies and other specialized meetings of hemispheric bodies throughout the Western Hemisphere
- Participated in the United Nations General Assembly each
year since 1995
- Head of delegation to the Association of Caribbean States
(ACS) meeting in Panama, 1999
- Grenada's Head of Delegation to the World Trade Organization
round of negotiations in Seattle, Washington - 1999
- Participated as a member of Grenada's delegation to the Summit
of the Americas in Santiago, Chile - 1998, and Quebec City, Canada
- 2001.
- Participated as a member of Grenada's delegation to the Caribbean
and United States Foreign Ministers Meeting at the Caribbean/US
Summit in Bridgetown, Barbados - 1997
- Elected Vice-chairman of the OAS Fellowships Committee -
1998
- Served as Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Inter-American
Council for Integral Development (CEPCIDI) - 1999-2001
- Vice-chairman of the OAS Permanent Council - 2001
- Coordinator of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) Corps of
Ambassadors in Washington, DC - 1997 and 2004
Ambassador Antoine was the only Ambassador from the Western Hemisphere
to serve as Head of Delegation to the Special Summit of the Americas
in Nuevo Leon, Mexico - January 2004. Before
his present appointment, Ambassador Antoine was Program Specialist
for the Government of the District of Columbia - 1991-1992. He also
served as Education Supervisor for the District of Columbia Public
Schools - 1992-1995.
